This Week’s Truthful Tuesday: That Time I Got The Same Thing
As a true A.P.E would understand, straying away from the norm is as easy as tying your shoelaces with your teeth. On August 21, 2015 I wrote a post about a Thai rolled ice cream from Juicy Spot Cafe. The title was “Most Likely I Will Get The Exact Same Thing.” I had really enjoyed the ice cream and experience at Juicy Spot Cafe and wanted to go back there to try some of the other flavor and topping combinations that they had to offer.
Last night, September 13, 2015 I took my parents on a food adventure with me to Juicy Spot Cafe so that they could understand what the hell this rolled ice cream stuff is that I’ve been talking about for the past month. I stood in front of the counter trying to decide what I wanted, for an unacceptable three or four minutes. That might not seem like a very long time, but when you think about how long it actually takes to order food at a counter, three or four minutes is the equivalent of serving twenty-five people.
I finally made my decision, long after both of my parents ordered theirs, and guess what? Were you going to guess that I ordered the same thing that I had last time? If you were then you would have been wrong! That’s because I got the exact same thing I ordered last time with the addition of shredded coconut on top. BAM! Not so predictable after all, am I?!
Shall we compare the two events? I think so…
August 17, 2015: Original, Oreo, Rainbow Sprinkles, Strawberries, Dark Chocolate Shavings, Chocolate Drizzle, Whipped Cream.
September 13, 2015: Original, Oreo Rainbow Sprinkles, Strawberries, Dark Chocolate Shavings, Chocolate Drizzle, Whipped Cream, Shredded Coconut.
