I really like to make different types of s’mores creations. There are so many things you can press a marshmallow between, the possibilities are endless. I’d say, the only thing better than an inventive s’mores sandwich is an inventive s’mores marshmallow.
The answer to my prayers exists in the form of Squish Marshmallows. I ordered these little guys last week after months of seeing pictures and reading about them. Squish Marshmallows can be found in some stores and street fairs throughout New York City, but I had never actually come across them in person. They were like Big-Foot!
When you go on the Squish Marshmallows website, there are a bunch of flavors of marshmallows to choose from. Since I have a hard time deciding on pretty much everything, I felt it was necessary to purchase two flavors. I also thought that I couldn’t live without the Urban Roasting Kit. Inside of this contains skewers and a torch lighter so that you can actually toast your own marshmallows at home. With my kit, I ordered Birthday Party flavored marshmallows and (bah bah bah bah bah bah baaah… like a royal trumpet player) S’mores flavored marshmallows.
The Birthday Party ones are aesthetically delicious in addition to tastebud delicious because they have lots of rainbow sprinkles. The S’mores ones definitely don’t look as pretty, but they taste like magical unicorn dreams. Squish Marshmallow’s S’mores flavor has actual pieces of graham cracker and chocolate inside of the marshmallow. It’s the easiest s’more you’ll ever make! Upon tasting both of these masterpieces, my eyes rolled to the back of my head while making a loud “mmmmm” noise with delight!
Sticking to my creative s’mores concoctions, I decided to play around with the marshmallows on Sunday, July 12, 2015. I wanted to make a sandwich using the s’mores flavor, but I didn’t want to use regular ingredients. After scoping out my pantry for a bit, I decided the only thing to do was to use Oreos. I took out three Double Stuf Oreos and a s’mores marshmallow along with my Urban Roasting Kit. After cutting the marshmallow in half lengthwise, I placed one piece on top of an Oreo and started to roast it. Once the marshmallow became gooey enough, I pressed another Oreo on top of the marshmallow and repeated this for another layer. When I was done I had a Double Oreo S’mores-Marshmallow Sandwich! I have to admit, this was one of my more brilliant ideas.
Looks and sounds delicious!!!
Great idea!!!
I would love to try this. It looks amazing but I just gained 5 lbs looking at it.
I can’t afford it but maybe one day I’ll splurge
